new Delhi. In order to deal with the concerns of leaking of information and data through software prepared by foreign companies, the government is now insisting on making these apps indigenously which will be better and safer. Giving information on IndiaTV's special program, Communications Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that India will soon have its own video conferencing software and 12 companies have been identified for its preparation. In this special program of India TV, after the completion of one year of the Modi government, the ministers of the government are giving detailed information about their work and plans.

Recently video conferencing app Zoom had admitted that the data of Indians had been leaked through its platform. A petition has also been filed in the Supreme Court regarding this, on which the court has sought an answer from the Center. Zoom has expanded rapidly in India due to the lockdown. In April this year, it was downloaded more than 130 million times. With the increasing prevalence, the possibility of data leaks has also increased. Encouraged by the success of the Arogya Setu app, the Indian government now wants to be self-sufficient in other such applications. So that new security and employment opportunities can be opened along with eliminating security concerns.

Along with this, the government is also considering accelerating mobile phone manufacturing. The Communications Minister said that the government is working towards making the country the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer. India is currently the second largest producer in the world. Being a leader in mobile phone manufacturing, the country will get full benefit of employment and large domestic market.
