Lockdown extensions economically disastrous, create another medical crisis

new Delhi. Mahindra Group Chairman Anand Mahindra said on Monday that increasing the lockdown would not only be fatal for the economy, but would also create a new health crisis. Mahindra tweeted that moving the lockdown would be fatal not only for the economy. Rather, as I have already tweeted earlier, it will create another health crisis.

He cited the dangerous psychological effects of lockdown and an article on the subject of patients other than Kovid-19 being overlooked. Mahindra proposed to remove it 49 days after the lockdown. He said that it is not easy for policy makers to choose, but even a lockdown is not going to help. He said that the number of corona virus infected will continue to increase in cost and our focus should be on increasing the number of hospital beds and arranging oxygen rapidly.

Anand Mahindra has also suggested to take help of the army in this work, because the army has its experience. On 22 March, Mahindra proposed such a move, expressing concern over a report that stated that communication of corona virus infection in India was nearing stage 3, before the government imposed a nationwide lockdown.
