Air fares set for domestic flights, 7 categories of fares will be based on time of flight

For this, the government has made 7 categories based on the time of flight. At the same time, the government has made it clear that 40 percent of the total tickets can be sold below the midpoint of the upper and lower limits.

According to the aviation minister, the first category will include flights whose flight time is less than 40 minutes. On the other hand, 40-60 minutes in the second category, 60 to 90 minutes in the third category, 90-120 minutes in the fourth category, 120-150 minutes in the fifth category, 150-180 minutes in the sixth category and 180-210 minutes in the seventh category. Are included. This limit will remain in force for the next 3 months and will be applicable from midnight of 24 August.

According to the aviation minister, the fare limit on the Delhi Mumbai route will be between Rs 3500 and Rs 10,000. This route falls in category 4, ie the fare limit has been fixed for the 90 minute to 120 minute flight journey. The median fare on this route will be 6700 rupees. Airlines have to offer 40 percent of their tickets at less than this price

Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri made it clear that this fare limit has been fixed on the basis that the passengers should not suffer too much burden as well as the airlines companies.
