Auto sector enhances online sales

new Delhi. Car companies are increasing their focus on online platforms for bookings, with signs of increased lockdown discounts. Leading auto manufacturer Nissan India on Thursday said it has launched a new digital initiative to enable customers to book and purchase vehicles online amid the Corona virus epidemic. Nissan India said in a statement that the company's SUV kicks and the entire Duston series can be booked online. The company's managing director Rakesh Srivastava said that they are strengthening their commitment to customers through digital showrooms.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) India on Thursday said that it has increased its online sales and services amid the Corona virus epidemic. JLR is part of Tata Motors and already had a significant presence in online sales. The company has also introduced online services on its website. JLR India Chairman and Managing Director Rohit Suri said that the company is now able to provide a contactless and secure environment to its customers. The company has 27 authorized outlets in 24 cities.

Apart from this, many car companies including Maruti Suzuki have started insisting on online booking of their cars. If the car companies are to start production, then starting the online booking will help them to increase the order during the time of the epidemic, while the discount will increase with the time when they will be able to secure and timely delivery of the cars to the customers.
