Suzuki motorcycle resumes production at Gurugram plant, safety measures have been arranged

Suzuki Motorcycle India restarts operations in Haryana plant

new Delhi. Implementing strict safety regulations and social distilling guidelines guided by the Government of India, Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited (SMIPL) on Monday said it has resumed production at its manufacturing plant in Kherki Dhaula, Gurugram. SMIPL said in a statement that the company resumed operations after obtaining permission from the authorities concerned. It has adopted all safety guidelines and safeguards for its employees.

After closely assessing the situation to avoid any spread of the Kovid-19, Suzuki Motorcycle India has set detailed guidelines for all its employees. This includes precautions such as social distancing, wearing masks, periodic sanitization and not being in a large group, etc. The company has also installed a disinfectant chamber, through which people will pass every day to prevent infection and to keep the work environment safe.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. Koichiro Hirao, managing director, said that Suzuki Motorcycle India has started work on its plant. In such a situation, it is important for us to take care of the safety and health of our employees as we will continue the fight against Kovid-19. In view of this, SMIPL will resume operations with a limited workforce and gradually get into a full cycle of production as per the government directive. We have implemented detailed operational guidelines with emphasis on social distancing so that all our employees take utmost care.

SMIPL halted the functioning of its plant from 23 March 2020, following a nationwide lockdown under government directives to avoid the spread of the Kovid-19 epidemic.
