Lava to shift business from China to India, to invest Rs 800 crore over 5 years

new Delhi. Domestic company Lava International, which manufactures mobile and mobile devices, said on Friday that it is bringing its business from China to India. The company has decided to take this step following recent policy changes in India. The company has also planned to invest Rs 800 crore over the next five years to expand its mobile phone development and manufacturing operations.

Hari Om Rai, Chairman and Managing Director of Lava International, said that we have at least 600 to 650 employees in China in the field of product design. We have now shifted the design work to India. Our sales needs in India are being met from a local factory.

He said that we have been exporting some mobile phones from our factory in China, this work will now be done from India. Lava met its export demand from China during the lockdown period in India.

Rai said that my dream is to export mobile devices to China. Indian companies are already exporting mobile chargers to China. Our situation will improve with the production incentive scheme. So now the entire business will be done from India itself.
