Post-lockdown flights: Cabin crew attire to have face shield, gown and mask

New Delhi. When commercial flights resume operations after lockdown in the country, the crew members will change their dress and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gowns, masks. There is a lockdown from 25 March to stop the spread of corona virus in India and all commercial flights are closed.

Industry sources said that airlines such as IndiGo, Air India, Vistaar and Air Asia have decided to dress the crew members for their safety as they come in close contact with passengers during the flight. The dress that Philippine Air Asia unveiled for its crew members on April 27 would be similar. This red colored full body suit will have a face shield (faceglass) and a mask.

The source said that the PPE attire for Air Asia India crew members will have a face shield, mask, gown, apron and gloves, while Vistara will have a lap gown, mask and face shield for the crew members. Other airlines will have similar dress.
