Coronavirus pandemic: IDFC First Bank distributed masks and gloves in Delhi's Azadpur mandi

New Delhi: Masks and gloves were distributed on behalf of IDFC First Bank on Thursday at Azadpur Mandi campus. During this time, the wholesaler of fruits, vegetables, Rajkumar Bhatia and other members of the Mandi Executive were present in the market.

Under Corporate Social Responsibility, the bank distributed 2500 masks and 400 pairs of gloves to fight the corona virus. Also, made people aware of its rescue and appealed to avoid overcrowding and must use masks.

Azadpur Mandi, the capital city of the country, is Asia's largest vegetable and fruit market. This mandi, established in 1977, carries fruits and vegetables to Delhi-NCR and the entire country. About one lakh people are directly and indirectly connected to this market.

Earlier, 2500 masks and 200 pairs of gloves were given by the bank to the North Delhi Municipal Corporation. All these will help in increasing the resources of the corporation and prevention of corona virus. On behalf of the Corporation, Standing Committee Chairman, Jai Prakash received masks and gloves at his office at Civic Center. On this occasion, Jai Prakash said that any help in the event of this epidemic is commendable when the corporation is also facing financial crisis.
