70 thousand crore relief to housing sector, credit linked subsidy scheme increased

new Delhi. In the second phase of the self-sufficient India package, the government has extended the credit linked subsidy scheme till March 2021. According to the government, this will benefit 2.5 lakh middle-income families. With this, the government hopes that 70 thousand crore rupees will be invested in the housing sector. At the same time, there is also an expectation of getting new jobs in the sector.

According to the government, the housing sector is also expected to grow rapidly in steel, cement, transport and other sectors related to construction. The Credit Linked Subsidy Scheme for the middle income group has been implemented from May 2017. Which was earlier extended to 31 March 2020. It has now been extended further. So far 3.3 lakh families have benefited from this scheme. Under this scheme, families of 6 to 18 lakh income groups get relief.
