new Delhi. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will hold a press conference at 4 pm today. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will explain how the special economic package of Rs 20 lakh crore will be used in which areas and how much amount will be given. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday announced an economic package of 20 lakh crores to bring back the economy of the country which was affected by the Corona crisis.

Let me tell you that in the midst of Corona crisis, Prime Minister Modi announced an economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees on Tuesday (May 12) during the address to the country, which will be detailed today by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. The 20 lakh crore rupees economic package is about 10 per cent of Indian GDP. With this, India has become the fifth largest country in the world in terms of giving relief package. Japan is the first to give the largest relief package and the US is in the second place.

Regarding the economic package of 20 lakh crore rupees in the name of the country, PM Modi said that this economic package is for our cottage industry, home industry, our small-scale industry, our MSME which is the means of livelihood of crores of people, Which is the strong basis of our resolve for self-reliant India. This economic package is for that laborer of the country, for that farmer of the country who is working day and night for the countrymen in every situation, every season. This economic package is for the middle class of our country, which pays taxes honestly, contributes to the development of the country.
