no proposal to cut salary of central govt employee says Fin Min

Finance Ministry

new Delhi. The Finance Ministry on Monday clarified that there is no proposal to cut the salary of central government employees. In its response to the news in this context, the Ministry has written on Twitter that there is no proposal under consideration for any deduction in the existing salary of any category of central government employees. The ministry has written that such a report in a section of the media is wrong and baseless.

Last month, the government banned the payment of dearness allowance to its 50 lakh employees and 61 lakh pensioners. The government is cutting its spending to raise the necessary resources to deal with the corona virus epidemic, under which it was decided not to give increased dearness allowance. The Department of Expenditure under the Ministry of Finance said in an office memorandum that no dues will be paid in the head of dearness allowance between January 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.

In fact, recently there was a news in the media, according to which the government is going to cut the salary of central employees by 30 percent. According to the government, this news is wrong and please do not trust the news of any such salary cut.
