Ghaziabad DM issue safety instruction for chemical factories

new Delhi. After the Visakhapatnam gas scandal, the administration has become cautious across the country. Today, special instructions were issued to ensure safety at the chemical factory located in Ghaziabad. These instructions have been issued for factories in which large quantities of LPG gas, thinner solvent, acid or similar toxic chemicals are stored.

According to the instructions issued by the District Magistrate, all dangerous chemicals will be stored away from the workplace. At the same time, the Material Safety Data Sheet of all chemicals stored in the stock should be available in the factory itself. Along with this, it is necessary to display in clear terms the instructions of what to do and what not to do to prevent chemicals in factories. On the other hand, all factories and units will undertake a disaster management plan to rescue or deal with poisonous gas leakage or any other accident, per which the District Magistrate Office, the concerned Deputy District Magistrate Office, Chief Fire Officer, Assistant Director Factory, the police station concerned and pollution control The board will be sent to Ghaziabad.

On Thursday morning, 11 people died in a leak from a chemical factory in Visakhapatnam, while a thousand people fell ill, many of whom are still under treatment.
