Vista Equity Partners of America to buy stake in Reliance's JIO platform, to invest Rs 11,367 crore

Vista Equity Partners picks up equity stake in Reliance’s JIO platform

new Delhi. Reliance Industries Limited and Jio Platform Limited on Friday announced that Vista Equity Partners of America will invest Rs 11,367 crore in Jio Platform. With this investment, the equity value of Jio platform has increased to Rs 4.91 lakh crore and its enterprise value has also increased to Rs 5.16 lakh crore. Vista Investment will buy 2.32 percent stake in Jio platform on a fully diluted basis. With this investment, Vista became the largest investor in the Jio platform. It has also overtaken Reliance Industries and Facebook.

The Jio platform has collected a total of Rs 60,596.37 crore from major technology investors in less than three weeks. Jio Platform is a wholly owned entity of Reliance Industries Limited. Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, which provides telecom and internet services to 38.8 million consumers in India, will continue to be a wholly owned entity of the Jio platform.

Reliance Industries has said in a statement that Vista is a leading global investor company focused on empowering and enriching software, data and technology enabled companies. Vista has invested $ 57 billion and is globally the 5th largest software company in the world, with its companies invested. Earlier, America's Facebook and Silver Lake have also invested in the Jio platform.
