Maruti Suzuki rolls out new norms for its showrooms

new Delhi. The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd on Wednesday issued new guidelines to open its showrooms and dealerships. The company has prepared these guidelines keeping the safety of consumers in the center amidst the business activities that started after the lockdown ends. As part of this process, high-level cleanliness and hygiene will be ensured in all the showrooms of the company for the safety of customers and employees.

The company has said in a statement that after getting and implementing these guidelines from the state governments, Maruti Suzuki dealerships have started opening and they have also started delivering to the waiting customers.

Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India said that customer satisfaction and safety is our top priority. Guidelines have been prepared to ensure complete safety, cleanliness and sanitization at all touchpoints at all our dealerships. We want to satisfy our customers that the car shopping experience with Maruti Suzuki is completely safe.

Maruti Suzuki India has issued new Standard Operating Rules (SOPs) for its dealers. The company said on Wednesday that in view of the Corona virus crisis, it has prepared this comprehensive SOP for dealers across the country. The company said that the new SOP emphasizes on ensuring the highest level of cleanliness and hygiene in all showrooms for the safety of customers and employees.

These rules have been formulated keeping in mind every type of interaction with customers. According to the statement, these rules have been made keeping in mind all aspects from entering the showroom to the delivery of the vehicle. All these standard procedures are based on scientific studies. The company said that by implementing these SOPs and taking approval from local state governments, the company has started opening its dealer showrooms. It has also started supplying cars to customers.

The company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Kenichi Ayukawa said that all their dealers are ensuring high-level cleanliness and disinfecting of all places, including more exposed surfaces. The company has 3,080 dealer showrooms in 1,960 cities and towns across the country.
