new Delhi| Chinese smartphone manufacturing company Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its new budget smartphone Redmi 9A, which is priced at Rs 6,799 for the (2GB plus 32GB) variants. The variant of 32 GB internal storage with its 3 GB RAM has been priced at Rs 7,499.

Sneha Tenwala, Redmi's business lead at MI India, said in a statement, "The purpose of the Redmi 9A is to maintain its company's legacy and in doing so offer the best viewing experience with HD Plus LCD IPS display including dot notch Is. At this price it is a special phone of its kind. " The smartphone will be made available in three color variants from September 4. The 6.53-inch device comes with TUV Rheinland Proof which provides a better ability to see in the reading mode by reducing the screen's blue light effect.

The phone uses the Octa-core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, along with up to 3 GB of RAM and a microSD card that can be expanded up to 512 GB. There is a 13 MP AI camera in the rear of the phone with features like AI Portrait Mode, AI Scene Detection. It also has a 5MP selfie camera with AI portrait mode. The Redmi 9A has a 5000 mAh battery. The company has said that with the new technology, this battery can last 2.5 to 3 years compared to common batteries.
