The world's largest motorcycle and scooter manufacturer sold 5.84 lakh units in the month of August, which is 7.55% higher than the previous year. The company sold 5.43 lakh units in August 2019. At the same time, sales have increased by 13 percent compared to July. According to the company, sales have increased for the fourth consecutive month. During August, motorcycle sales performed better than scooters. This indicates that the situation in rural areas is better than in cities. The major market for Hero's bikes is in rural areas.

According to the data released by the company, motorcycle sales have increased to 5.44 lakh units from 4.98 lakh units last year. At the same time, the sales of the motorcycle from April to August were 15.46 lakh units, while the company had sold a total of 27.16 lakh units of bikes during the same period last year. On the other hand, during August, the company sold a total of 39798 scooters. At the same time last year, this figure was 44859 units. The company has sold 1.16 lakh scooters during April to August. Last year, the company sold 2.05 lakh units of scooters in this period.

Along with this, the company has informed that the company has given 10 special first responder vehicles to deal with the corona crisis. These have been given to Gurugram, Rewari and Dharuhera in Haryana and Halol administration in Gujarat. According to the company, these special vehicles can reach the patients in rural areas at a rapid pace and will be able to take them to the hospital with complete security and medical facilities.
