Royal Enfield's sales recovery

According to the company, the sales of the model up to 350cc engine capacity during the month of August increased by 4% to 46,357 units level over the previous year. In the month of August last year, the company sold 44,694 units in this segment. So far in the financial year i.e. April to August, sales of this segment are down 47% over the previous year, the company has sold a total of 1.35 lakh units in this segment during the lockdown due to Corona crisis. Last year, this figure was 2.52 lakh units.

At the same time, total sales have gradually reached the level of last year. Royal Enfield had total sales of 50,144 units in August, down just 5 per cent over the previous year. Last year, the company sold a total of 52,904 units in the month of August. At the same time, total sales between April and August were down 49 per cent over the previous year. Sales of models with a capacity of more than 350 cc remained under pressure in August, a decline of 54 per cent over the previous year. At the same time, exports also decreased by 38 percent to 2573 units during this period.
