new Delhi. Today, the rupee has fallen in value against the dollar amid fresh tensions at the India-China border. The rupee had earlier trended for three consecutive sessions against the dollar. According to experts, the sentiments of investors deteriorated after the India-China tension, after which the rupee has seen pressure. The rupee's exchange rate fell 21 paise to close at 73.60 per dollar against the US dollar in the first trading session of the week.

The rupee opened strong at 73.26 in the inter-bank foreign exchange market at the start of trading, however the market changed completely with trading and the rupee exchange rate fell 21 paise to close at 73.60 per dollar. The rupee had closed at 73.39 against the dollar on Friday. During the trading, the rupee gained a maximum of 73.25 against the dollar, while the rupee broke down to the level of 73.80 during the fall. According to experts, the pressure in the stock market also affected the rupee.
