According to RBI guidelines, banks operating in the country are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month except Sundays, with some additional holidays in September and some regional festivals. In September, banks in different parts of the country will be closed for about 12 days. However, due to the Corona crisis, banks are advising customers that people come to the bank less, if necessary work is to leave the house.   • September 01, Tuesday – Banks will remain closed in Sikkim due to Kerala and Jatra festival due to Third Onam.
  • 02 September, Wednesday – Banks will remain closed in Gangtok, Kochi, Kerala and Thiruvananthapuram due to holiday on Pang Lhabasol and Sri Narayana Guru Jayanti.
  • September 6, Sunday- Due to Sunday, there will be a weekly holiday.
  • September 12 – Due to being the second Saturday of the month, there will be a holiday in banks.
  • September 13 – Due to Sunday, there will be a weekly holiday in the bank.
  • September 17, Thursday – In some other states including Agartala, Bengaluru and Kolkata, there will be a holiday in banks due to Mahalaya Amasya. There is also Vishwakarma Puja on 17 September.
  • September 20 – Due to Sunday there will be a weekly holiday in the bank.
  • September 21, Monday – Banks will have a holiday on the occasion of Srinarayan Guru Samadhi Day in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram.
  • September 23, Wednesday – Haryana Heroes will be a holiday in banks on the occasion of Martyrdom Day.
  • September 26 – Due to being the fourth Saturday of the month, there will be a holiday in the country's banks.
  • September 27- Due to Sunday, there will be a weekly holiday.
  • September 28, Monday – Due to Sardar Bhagat Singh Jayanti, there will be a holiday in many banks in Punjab.

However, during the time the bank is closed, you can withdraw cash from ATMs as well as mobile apps and online transactions. On the other hand, in the month of September, if you forget to do any work related to money in the bank on any workday, then it does not matter.
