new Delhi: If you are a subscriber from any telecom operator of Airtel, Jio or Vodafone-Idea, then it is time to change your plan, which can prove to be very beneficial for you and we have brought options for you. Telecom operators have changed their plans in this highly competitive market. Operators have offered highly competitive tariff schemes to attract customers and offer them many benefits to retain with them.
Jio Cricket Plan
For Reliance Jio subscribers, two new plans are available under the 'Cricket Dhana Dhan' and 'Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan' offers. In this plan you can get a subscription to Disney + Hotstar VIP. The price of this new plan is Rs 499 and Rs 777 which gives customers free access to Disney + Hotstar VIP, calling benefits, data benefits and free convenience.
Under the Rs 499 cricket plan, Jio is offering 1.5GB daily high-speed data to customers for 56 days. It is important to note that the plan does not offer any calling or SMS benefits. The Rs 777 plan offers 1.5GB daily data, unlimited Jio to Jio calls, 3,000 FUP minutes and 100 SMS per day with 5GB additional data to its customers. This plan comes with a validity of 84 days.
Airtel is the second largest telecom operator to have launched prepaid tariff plans of Rs 129 and Rs 199 in select circles in May.
It has extended the availability of these schemes to PAN-India which means that the scheme can be subscribed by people in any circle. Under the Rs 129 plan, you will get 1GB high speed data, unlimited calls and 300 SMS, while in the Rs 199 plan you get 1GB high speed data, unlimited calls and 100 daily compliant SMS daily.
Both plans have a validity of 24 days and include free access to Airtel XStream, Wink Music and Hello Tunes.
Disney + Hotstar VIP Membership
Now, those who take a plan of Rs 448, Rs 499, Rs 599 and Rs 2,698 will get one-year Disney + Hotstar VIP subscription benefits previously available under the Rs 401 plan. This benefit is offered due to the upcoming IPL 2020 tournament, which will be livestreamed on Disney + Hotstar.
New 401 rupee plan
If you are availing the Rs. 401 plan and 3GB data for 28 days, with which you get the subscription of Disney + Hotstar VIP, then now you will get 30 GB data for the same 28 days. The 401 Airtel prepaid recharge plan was introduced amidst the Covid-19 lockdown as people were indoors and addicted to streaming apps.
In the case of Vodafone Idea, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has issued a show cause notice stating why it should not ban the company's RedX premium tariff plan. The company has until 31 August to respond to its allegations of making false claims about fast data speeds.
If the company fails to do so, it will have to discontinue the RedX plan. The RedX plan has offered many benefits including improved data speed, better customer service, Netflix and Amazon Prime membership, access to airport lounges and exclusive deals on handsets, hotel booking and more.
Vodafone-Idea has also launched a new prepaid plan of Rs 819 which will provide 2GB data everyday for a period of 84 days. The plan launched in July includes unlimited calling and 100 SMS / day, as stated in most prepaid plans, which are offered by Telecoast.
However, it is important to note that as per the Vodafone India site, the Rs 819 prepaid recharge plan is available only in Delhi circle and is limited to Vodafone customers only.
