new Delhi. Rail passenger, a platform offering travel related facilities to railway passengers, has denied the claims that were leaked regarding the leakage of passengers' information. However, the company has not denied that its server has been breached. Nor has it given information about which information the hackers have accessed. Information came from a security firm quoting that the passenger had deposited his user information on an unsecured server, due to lack of necessary security, hackers stole 7 lakh user information from the server, including the location of the booking, UPI ID, Payment login, bus booking, email address, name and contact number are included. Along with this, information related to user credit and debit cards has also been leaked. According to the report, the size of the leaked data is about 43 GB. The security firm alleged that the data was unencrypted and on a server with no password.

After the news came out, the railway passenger has denied the claims of loss in his cleaning. The rail passenger said that a week ago, the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) had put such information in front of us, after which our team was engaged in solving the case. The server that is raising questions is a testing server that has been shut down. According to the company, according to a common rule, after 24 hours, all kinds of information are erased from the server. In such a situation, the company wants to clarify that the news of leakage of information of 7 lakh email addresses is wrong because the server keeps the data for more than one day. In such a situation, it is impossible to leak such a large amount of information. At the same time, the rail passenger said that he wants to assure his user that railway passengers do not leave any general information of any user and do not see any financial and other sensitive information, credit card details etc. in their servers.
