Petrol Prices Hiked Again On Monday, Diesel Remains Untouched

new Delhi. Petrol prices continued to rise for the fifth consecutive day on Monday. Petrol price has again increased by 13 paise per liter in Delhi. Petrol prices have been increased by 12 paise per liter in Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai. On the other hand, the international market remains almost stable in crude oil prices.

According to the website of Indian Oil, the price of petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai rose to Rs 81.62, Rs 83.13, Rs 88.28 and Rs 84.64 per liter respectively on Monday. However, the price of diesel in the four metros remains constant at Rs 73.56, Rs 77.06, Rs 80.11 and Rs 78.86 per liter respectively.

Oil marketing companies have increased the price of petrol for the remaining eight days except for one day in nine consecutive days and in these eight days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 1.19 per liter in Delhi.

Brent crude's October delivery contract on the international futures market Inter Continental Exchange (ICE) was trading at $ 44.91 a barrel, down 0.04 percent from the previous session on Monday. At the same time, American Light Crude West Texas Intermediate, or WTI October delivery futures contract, was trading at $ 42.35 a barrel, up 0.02 percent from the previous session.
