He also said that the negotiations for the construction of Chambal Express in Madhya Pradesh at a cost of Rs 8,250 crore have gone ahead. This is the first project of its kind in which alliances are being made with the state government. "To take the country's infrastructure to a higher level, it has been decided to work with a coordinated approach in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi," Gadkari said. While constructing new highways, plans are being prepared for full utilization of capacity by laying optic fiber, transmission line and gas pipe lines.
