new Delhi. The central government is preparing to make skill-trained youths in the villages by giving them skills skills so that they can get employment easily. This plan has been prepared under Deendayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana. By the year 2024 all registered youth will get training.
With this scheme, where skilled workers from different sectors will be available, the government will also help in reducing poverty. This scheme is being operated by the Ministry of Rural Development to develop the skills of the youth of the villages and to connect them with employment.
Special standards (SOPs) for high-level training are followed. Certified trainers are provided under this scheme. Free training to registered youth is given here. The National Unit of the Ministry of Rural Development looks after the responsibility of National Policy Making, Funding, Technical Support under this scheme, while at the state level the implementation of this scheme is under the leadership of State Skill Development Mission or State Livelihood Mission.
Sources in the ministry said that under this scheme, a total of five million rural youth are registered and ready to trend according to their needs. According to the vision document prepared by the Ministry of Rural Development, seven lakh youths were registered in 2019-20. At the same time, the target has been set to register nine lakh unschilled rural youth in 2020-21, 12 lakh in 2021-22, 12 lakh in 2022-23 and one million unschilled in 2023-24.
According to the officials of the ministry, the youths interested in training are identified and provided opportunities to move forward in this scheme. If a person gets employment after training, it is believed that his family's poverty has gone away.
