Kia Motors gets 6,523 bookings for Sonet on day one

new Delhi. Kia Motors India on Friday said it has received 6,523 bookings on the first day for its new compact SUV (sports utility vehicle) Sonnet. Kia Motors India said in a statement that the model received tremendous response on the first day with a record 6,523 bookings. He said that prospective customers can book a car online and through the company's sales network by paying an initial booking amount of Rs 25,000.

The company has started booking Sonet from midnight on Wednesday. Kia Motors India Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Kookhyun Shim said the overwhelming response to the new sonnet proves that there is never a bad time to introduce a good product. This also shows that Indian consumers' confidence in the brand Kia has increased significantly in just one year of our operations here.

Sonnet will be available in the market from next month. The model will compete with Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Hyundai's Venue and Tata's Nexon. The company has assured consumers that it is committed to deliver the sonet in the shortest possible time from its Anantapur plant. The company has said that work is being done at full capacity at Anantapur plant.
