new Delhi. The leading pharmaceutical company Lupine has announced the recall of 5,60,922 packets of birth control pills in the US. This information has been given by the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA).
According to the latest USFDA enforcement report, Baltimore-based Lupine Pharmaceuticals Inc. is recalling 5,60,922 pouches of Mibelas 24 FE tablets in the US. The product is used to prevent pregnancy.
The report states that it is manufactured in India and then supplied to the US market by Lupine Pharmaceuticals Inc. The company did not elaborate whether these products are also sold in India.
A mail sent to the company in this regard remained unanswered. Typically, pharmaceutical companies supply the domestic market from individual manufacturing plants. The facilities approved by the USFDA are used exclusively for the US, the largest market for pharmaceutical products in the world.
