Government considering MSME status to dealers says Gadkari

Union Road Transport and Highways and MSME Minister Nitin Gadkari has said that the central government is considering giving micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) status to dealers. With this, dealers will also be able to get the benefits of MSME. Micro, small and medium enterprises related to manufacturing and services sector have to register themselves to get benefits and subsidies under various government schemes. Registered MSMEs get the benefit of duty subsidy and tax and capital subsidy by the government. Registration helps them to access government banks and financial institutions and they can also get easy loans at low interest rates.

Giving information on Tuesday, the Union Minister said, "As far as the MSME sector is concerned, now we are considering giving MSME status to the dealers as well. This is under consideration. The dealers will also get the benefit of MSME sector after taking the decision. ”The minister once again appealed to the industries to pay the dues of MSMEs on time. Along with this he said, "We are requesting the Finance Ministry that we are in a position to give some more support in terms of income tax to those who want to build industry technology centers, training centers, research centers." This will motivate them for further research and innovation. "
