Petrol Prices Hiked Across Metros On Monday

new Delhi. The rise in the price of petrol has started again due to the rise in the price of crude oil in the international market. Oil marketing companies raised petrol prices on Monday for the second consecutive day. In these two days, petrol has become costlier by 30 paise per liter in Delhi. However, there has been no change in the price of diesel. According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai on Monday increased to Rs 80.73, Rs 82.30, Rs 87.45 and Rs 83.87 per liter respectively. At the same time, the price of diesel in the four metros remains stable at Rs 73.56, Rs 77.06, Rs 80.11 and Rs 78.86 per liter respectively.

On Monday, the price of petrol increased by 16 paise in Delhi, 13 paise in Kolkata, 14 paise in Mumbai and 12 paise per liter in Chennai. Market experts say that the price of crude oil in the international market has been rising for the last two days due to China's plan to purchase crude from the US. Even before this, the price of crude oil has been strong in August. The benchmark crude oil bent crude price has been above $ 44 per barrel, while Brent crude has gone up to $ 46 per barrel this month.

On the international futures market ICE on Monday, Brent crude's October delivery contract was trading at $ 45.14 a barrel, up 0.76 percent from the previous session. At the same time, the American light crude West Texas Intermediate, or WTI's September delivery contract, was trading at $ 42.39 a barrel, up 0.90 percent from the previous session.
