FPI invest Rs 28,203 crore in August so far

new Delhi. Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) have made a net investment of Rs 28,203 crore in the Indian capital markets in the first fortnight of August. That is, foreign investors have invested Rs 28 thousand crore more than the amount they have withdrawn from Indian markets during this period. Apart from this, FPIs have also been net investors in the debt or bond market after about five months. Market watchers say that FPI investment has increased due to better quarterly results from companies and improved liquidity position globally. According to the depository data, foreign investors invested Rs 26,147 crore in stocks and Rs 2,056 crore in bond market during August 3-14. His total investment thus stood at Rs 28,203 crore.

FPIs have been net investors in the bond market after about five months. Earlier in February, he infused Rs 4,734 crore in the bond market. FPIs have been net buyers in June and July. "FPIs have invested heavily in the stock markets due to both global and domestic factors," said research star Himanshu Srivastava, associate director-manager, Morningstar India. Because of this, major central banks are aggressively taking incentive measures to propel economies. Srivastava said that apart from this, the quarterly results of companies domestically have been better than expected, due to which the flow of capital in Indian markets has increased. GRO chief operating officer (COO) Harsh Jain said his investment in Indian markets has increased due to declining Treasury returns in the US.
