Over Rs100 lakh cr to be spent under National Infrastructure Pipeline Project

new Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday that India needs to move faster in the direction of overall infrastructure development and the National Infrastructure Pipeline project will help achieve this goal. Addressing the country from the Red Fort on the 74th Independence Day, the Prime Minister said that the National Infrastructure Pipeline project would cost Rs 100 lakh crore. He said that India needs to give a new direction to overall infrastructure development in order to grow at a fast pace. This need will be met through the National Infrastructure Pipeline Project.

PM Modi said that 7,000 projects have been identified under the National Infrastructure Pipeline Project. He said that the time has come to remove bottlenecks in the path of infrastructure development and a big plan for multi-model connectivity is ready. He said that a major plan has been prepared to connect the entire country with multi-model connectivity infrastructure.

A national integrated policy of cyber security soon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while referring to the expansion of Internet and cyber technology in the economic social life of the country, said that the government will soon introduce a coordinated cyber security policy. In the name of the nation on Independence Day, the Prime Minister said that with increasing use of internet and information technology, it is very important for the country to have a strong integrated cyber security system.

He said that the blueprint of cyber security policy will come soon. He said that the government will connect all six lakh villages of the country with fiber optic network in one thousand days so that high speed communication services can be available there too.

Modi announced to link Lakshadweep with maritime telecommunications only, like Andaman and Nicobar Islands. He said that this will start providing high speed internet services there as well.
