India can emerge as destination for countries searching for import alternative says gadkari

new Delhi. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Friday that India could become a major supplier to countries looking for alternative sources of imports. He asked industrialists to take advantage of this golden opportunity. Calling to carry forward the 'Self-reliant India' campaign, Gadkari said that industry organizations like FICCI should identify areas for which other countries depend to a large extent on imports, especially areas for which they are particularly China Depend on. Traders should focus on increasing its Indian options and indigenous production so that the country's exports can increase.

Gadkari was addressing members of organizations of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) in a FICCI program. Gadkari holds the charge of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways as well as the MSME Ministry. He said, "All areas are facing many problems in the present condition. The Kovid-19 has caused many difficulties. However, a good thing in this whole environment is that most of the stakeholders are looking for new options to supply their essential commodities and India can become their favorite place for this. ”He said that 70 percent of China's exports to only 10 regions it happens. He urged industrialists and businessmen to research this and identify the various areas where India can start indigenous production and export. Gadkari said that industrialists should do research on goods exported from China. He should also study the success stories of other countries, such as Bangladesh, if he can study the micro finance model. Gadkari asked traders to prepare a list of challenges they faced and as far as capital or funding concerns were concerned, he himself assured them that this would be resolved quickly by involving the finance ministry and the Prime Minister's Office.
