According to the data released today, the index of industrial production ie IIP has decreased by 16.6% in the month of June as compared to the previous year. This is the fourth consecutive month when industrial production has seen a decline. However, this period continued to improve. In the month of May, IIP saw a decline of 34 percent. The index was at 53.6 in April, while it rose to 89.5 in May. The IIP index is at 107.8 in June.

The month of June saw pressure in the manufacturing, energy, and mining sectors. According to the data, the manufacturing sector has shown a decline of 17.1% over the previous year. At the same time, the mining sector has recorded a decline of 19.8 percent and the power sector by 10 percent. The lockdown was announced from March 2020 to stop the spread of Corona, since which the workings have not yet returned to track. At the same time, due to the new ban in Corona after gaining speed, there is a possibility of recovery in June again under pressure.
