Industry welcomes Delhi government’s Electric Vehicle Policy

new Delhi. The scheme launched by the Delhi government to promote electric vehicles has been appreciated by the industry. According to the big businessmen of the country, this scheme will help in taking forward the pollution-free economy. Businessmen have advised that policies should be implemented in other states of the country to promote electric vehicles. Today, the Delhi government has announced a policy to promote electric vehicles.

Mahindra Electric CEO Mahesh Babu tweeted it as a long-term policy for the future of electric vehicles. He said that Mahindra will work together to improve the way of coming to Delhi.

On the other hand, Naveen Munjal, MD, Hero Electric, welcomed the policy by tweeting. He wrote that this is a good step to make the country pollution free.

Kejriwal government of Delhi has announced a new policy for electric vehicles on Friday itself. According to which people of Delhi will get a discount on buying a vehicle. At the same time, an action plan has also been prepared to promote electric vehicles in the capital. Under the rebate, there will be a discount of Rs. 30 thousand on the purchase of electric bike, Rs. 1.5 lakh on the purchase of the car and Rs. 30 thousand on the purchase of the auto. These exemptions will be in addition to the exemptions given by the central government. Along with this, scraping incentives will also be given to remove old cars from the roads soon. The number of charging stations in the capital will also be increased. The Delhi government estimates that with the help of this scheme, 5 lakh new electric vehicles will hit the road in the next 5 years.
