Bajaj Auto sales drop 33 pc to 2,55,832 units in July

new Delhi. Bajaj Auto said on Monday that its total sales were 2,55,832 vehicles in July 2020, a 33 percent decrease from the same month last year. In July last year, the company sold a total of 3,81,530 vehicles. However, compared to June 2020, sales of the company declined in July. In June 2020, the company sold 2,78,097 vehicles.

Bajaj Auto said its domestic sales stood at 1,58,976 units in July this year, compared to 2,05,470 units sold in the same month last year. The company's domestic sales in June 2020 declined by 34 percent to 1,51,189 units. The company's domestic sales stood at 2,29,225 units in June 2019.

Bajaj Auto reported that its total commercial vehicle sales stood at 59,320 units in July 2020, a 71 percent decrease from the previous year. The company's exports declined by 45 percent to 96,856 units in July, compared to 1,76,060 units in the same period last year. The company's commercial vehicle sales declined by 57 percent to 22,975 units in June, from 53,333 units in June 2019.

Total exports declined by 28 percent to 1,26,908 units in June 2020, from 1,75,399 units in the same month a year ago. In the first quarter of the current financial year, the company's total sales have fallen by 64 percent and during this period, sales of 4,43,103 units have been made. The company's sales figure in the first quarter of 2019-20 was 12,47,174 units.
