Mahatma Gandhi all set to feature on UK currency coin

new Delhi. To honor the contribution of Blacks, Asians and minorities in the creation of Britain, the British Government is considering issuing a coin in the name of Mahatma Gandhi. Britain's Finance Minister Rishi Sunak had written to the Royal Mint Advisory in this regard asking them to honor the people of the community. After that, the Treasury of Britain has given a statement that the government is currently considering issuing a special coin in honor of Mahatma Gandhi. This will be the first time a non-white person will be engraved in a UK coin.

In his letter, the Finance Minister said that Blacks, Asians and minorities played a very important role in creating the United Kingdom. For generations they have been fighting and dying for the country. These people have taught our children and taken care of our sick, and they have also built some of the most successful businesses in the country, which has helped to increase jobs and economic growth.

Movements have continued throughout the world following the death of a black citizen in the US, following which many institutions in the UK have decided to help and contribute to those involved with blacks, Asians and minorities. After which such steps are being taken across the country in which those people who have played a role in the making of Britain are being honored.
