FPI Investment in July

new Delhi. Foreign portfolio investors (FPIs) were net buyers for the second consecutive month in July. He invested a total of Rs 3,301 crore in Indian markets in July amid hopes of a corona virus disease vaccine. According to depositories data, FPIs invested Rs 7,563 crore in the stock markets in July, while they withdrew Rs 4,262 crore. Thus he made a net investment of Rs 3,301 crore. In the previous month, FPI made a net investment of Rs 24,053 crore in the Indian market. Himanshu Srivastava, associate managing research director of consulting company Morningstar India, said expectations have risen regarding the corona virus vaccine. Meanwhile, the market sentiment has improved and this has provided investors with profit-booking opportunities in the Indian market.

This is the main reason for increasing FPI investment in July. However, about the FPI investment in July being lower than in June, Srivastava said that the reason for this was to be a 'cautious approach' by investors, as Corona virus infection is still spreading continuously in India. At the same time, the trend of FPI investment in emerging markets in the last week of July was mixed, said Rusamik Ojha, executive vice president and head of fundamental research at Kotak Securities. In this, he appeared to be buying in India and South Korea, while the other markets were mainly sold.
