new Delhi. There has been no change in the prices of LPG cylinders and the price of non-subsidized LPG cylinders is almost the same as it was during July. The price of non-subsidized cylinders remains at a low level and because of this, the amount of LPG subsidy will not go to consumers who use subsidized cylinders.
These LPG cylinders will be priced from today
According to Indian Oil, the price of 14.2 kg gas cylinder in Delhi will be Rs 594 from August 1, the same price was in July, the price in Kolkata will now be Rs 621 per cylinder which was Rs 620.50 in July, also in Mumbai. The July level will remain at 594 and in Chennai also the price will now be at the level of Rs 610.50 per cylinder in July.
Why subsidy has not come in the account before
In the months of May and June, no subsidy was deposited by the government in the account of consumers who bought LPG cylinders. Millions of consumers were upset by this. The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas shared an information by tweeting on 25 July to overcome this problem of consumers. The tweet said that due to the fall in prices of LPG gas cylinders from 2020, there was no part of subsidy in their price. Therefore, no subsidy for LPG cylinders supplied in the months of May, 2020 and June 2020 has been transferred directly to the consumer's bank accounts.
This time also expect subsidy reduced
Now because the prices of LPG cylinders are at a low level and there is no change in the prices in July and August also, the subsidy for the months of July and August is not likely to go to the consumers' account.
