Chandrapur (Maharashtra). This time Rakhi Bandhan can be seen tied on the wrist of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, specially made of bamboo. A rural woman from Chandrapur district in Maharashtra, who has already taken steps to become a vocal for the local under Prime Minister Modi's self-reliant India campaign, has taken up the task of popularizing bamboo eco-friendly rakhis across the country. They are also getting success in this.
Meenakshi Mukesh Walke of Chandrapur, a tribal-dominated and backward area of Vidarbha province in Maharashtra, has designed handmade inlay and bamboo tricolor badges for Raksha Bandhan and Independence Day, furthering the campaign of Handmade in India. Rakhi and badges made of bamboo will be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time. Meenakshi told that Union Minister Nitin Gadkari himself will go to Prime Minister Modi with a rakhi and a badge. Last year, the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, also tied a bamboo rakhi on his wrist.

Despite heavy losses in the nationwide lockdown implemented to prevent the Corona virus epidemic, Minakshi did not give up and then engaged in a new zeal to carry forward the campaign of a self-reliant India. This time with his imagination and prudence, he has designed unique designs of tricolor badges to be used on bamboo sticks and pockets. They have also provided employment to tribal and backward class women during the lockdown.

Bamboo ash made by Meenakshi is becoming popular not only in the country but also abroad. Dangal film actress Meenu Prajapati is a fan of jewelery designed by Meenakshi. Meenakshi, who has created beautiful products with bamboo-free crafts as plastic-free designs and eco-friendly art objects, has been running her social enterprise, Abhinavar Innovative, for the past two years.
Meenakshi, who gave employment training to backward-tribal women, was given the top-20 award by Shakti Foundation of Delhi in October 2019. Apart from this, she has also received the National Woman Power Award for women empowerment. Last year, she created a history by creating a bamboo crown for the world-class beauty contest Miss Climate.
Meenakshi is also invited as an instructor from Jerusalem, Israel, to conserve forests using bamboo more and more, to contribute to climate change, to create the concept of future eco-friendly homes for employment generation and sustainable development. Already happened. Imagination and thinking of something new inspired Meenakshi to work on something different. The quality of his work is such that it is discussed between Egypt and well-known bamboo designers of Brazil and he wants to meet them.
Minakshi's dream is to deliver products made of bamboo under the handmade in India by implementing Vocal to Local for a self-reliant India. Minakshi said that this time the response of the bamboo reefs from all over the country is incomparable. In Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Haryana and Punjab, as well as Saudi Arabia, there is a lot of demand for bamboo sticks.
