Realme begins 100percent TV production at Rs 300 crore facility in India

new Delhi. As part of the Make in India initiative, smartphone brand Reality said on Wednesday that it has commissioned 100 percent TV production at its Greater Noida plant. Realme introduced Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) production for its affordable smart TV. The company has invested Rs 300 crore on 8 new SMT lines to meet the increasing demand after the lockdown. This investment has been made across the entire production line from basic components to TV to panel assembling and SMT.

Madhav Seth, CEO of Reality India and Vice President of Reality, said that our commitment to Reality Smart TV is the same as it is for our phones. Smartphones are 100 percent made in India only. He said that our commitment is that we produce more within the country and contribute more to economic development after lockdown.

He said that Reality believes in manufacturing world-class products for the country itself. Reality Smart TVs are available in two sizes 32 inches and 43 inches, priced at Rs 12,999 and Rs 21,999 respectively. The company is preparing to launch a 55-inch TV soon.

Reality Smart TV runs on Android 9.0 and comes with Google Assistant. This is the first TV in this price segment that comes with a high performance Media Tech 64-bid quad-core processor.

Madhav Seth, CEO of Reality India, said the company aims to sell 30 million smartphones and 8 million Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIOT) products by the end of this year. Despite disruptions in the supply chain due to the Corona virus epidemic, Realme has quickly achieved 80 percent of its production capacity. Reality has 40 million users worldwide and 25 million users in India.
