SBI card and IRCTC launch Rupay credit card

new Delhi. SBI Cards has launched a special credit card in association with IRCTC for the convenience and benefit of frequent travelers from Indian Railways. Railway Minister Piyush Goyal dedicated this credit card based on the RuPay platform today. Speaking on the occasion, the Railway Minister said that the Government is committed to make Railways self-reliant with the initiative of Make in India. The credit card of IRCTC and SBI is one of several such 'Make in India' initiatives.

The new credit card contact will be equipped i.e. NFC (Near Field Communication) technology will be used in it. With the help of which customers will be able to make their payments without swiping at the point of sale machine. In the midst of the Corona crisis, this technology will allow secure payment to customers without contact. Along with this, this card designed for special railway passengers has also been offered many discounts and offers to customers traveling frequently through rail.

Through credit card, in AC First Class, Second Class, Third Class, such Chair Car and Executive Class, the customer will get benefits equal to 10% of the fare paid. Along with this, online booking of tickets will also get a discount of 1% of the transaction fee. Credit card holders will be able to enjoy the service of the premium lounge at the railway station 4 times a year, once per quarter. Apart from this, customers will also get 1 percent fuel surcharge exemption on payment by credit card.

After the card is activated, the customer will also be given 350 bonus points for spending the minimum. The customer can use these points to get discount in booking tickets through IRCTC website. Along with the discount in rail travel, the customer can also take advantage of many offers in online shopping with the help of IRCTC-SBI card. There will also be a discount from e-commerce websites for payment through card.
