new Delhi. Bajaj Auto's two-wheeler sales are improving both in domestic as well as international markets. However, the company is still facing hurdles in the three-wheeler market. This information has been given by the company's Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Somen Ray. The company, however, said that by the end of next month, the true picture will be revealed that the demand which is currently being seen, is the pressing demand of previous months or is actually on the path of industry recovery.
Ray told PTI, "We are seeing an improvement in sales on a month-on-month basis. No vehicle was sold in April. There was also a big drop in May. June was better than May. Now the situation in July is looking much better than in June. "He said that demand is improving very fast. It can also be a suppressed demand of previous months. The correct picture will be revealed in August. The company's vehicle sales in the domestic market declined by 69.55 per cent to 1,85,981 units in the April-June quarter from 6,10,936 units in the same quarter last fiscal. However, Ray said that recovery of the domestic three-wheeler market would take time. He said, "Most of such vehicles are bought by taking loans. So when there is no work, then why would anyone want to start EMI or EMI. "
He said that the passenger tricycle market will improve only after the lockdown ends. The company's commercial vehicle (three-wheeler) sales declined 93.87 percent to 5,282 units in the first quarter of the current financial year from 86,217 units in the same quarter of the previous fiscal. Asked if the company expects sales to improve during the festive season, Ray said, "Of course we want that. There is no reason why this cannot happen. But we have to see August. If the month of August is very good, then the festive season will also be good.
