Market Share of Chinese Smartphone Companies in India reduced to 72 percent in April June quarter

new Delhi. The impact of the environment created in India against Chinese goods is being seen on the smartphone market. According to Counterpoint Research, the share of Chinese companies in the Indian smartphone market has come down to 72 percent during the quarter ended in June. This led to a record height of 81 per cent share of Chinese companies during the quarter ending March. Due to Corona, the boycott of Chinese goods has increased in India and this is why China is losing its hold on the Indian smartphone market.

It is likely that during the current July-September quarter, Chinese companies' hold on the Indian smartphone market will become even weaker. During June, Chinese soldiers attacked Indian troops in Ladakh and attempted to sneak into the Indian border. The boycott of Chinese goods in India has increased after this incident.

Samsung's company in India is benefiting from this environment against Chinese companies. Samsung's market share has risen to 26 percent during the April-June quarter, which had come down to 16 percent during January to March. Among Chinese companies, Realme and Oppo have suffered more. Realme's market share has come down to 11 percent in the April-June quarter from 14 percent in the January-March quarter and during this period, the market share of OPO has come down from 12 percent to 9 percent.
