RIL market cap rises to Rs 13 lakh crore

new Delhi. Billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries has become the world's 48th most valuable company with a market valuation of over Rs 13 lakh crore. Reliance Industries is the country's premier company dealing in crude oil, refinery, petrochemical, retail and telecom sectors. Reliance is the 48th most valuable company in terms of market valuation worldwide by market share data. Saudi Aramco is the world's most valuable company with a market capitalization of $ 1,700 billion in this category. It is followed by Apple, Microsoft, Amazon and Alphabet (Google) respectively. The Reliance Industries stock closed up 2.82 percent at Rs 2,060.65 on the BSE on Thursday. With this, the company's market valuation crossed Rs 13 lakh crore.

The company's total market valuation stood at Rs 13.5 lakh crore, or over $ 181 billion. Till date, the market capitalization of any Indian company has not crossed the Rs 13 lakh crore mark. Reliance's market valuation also exceeds Chevron's $ 170 billion market capitalization. The rankings of Unilever, Oracle, Bank of China, BSP Group, Royal Dutch Shell and Soft Bank are also below Reliance. Reliance is in the top 10 in Asia. China's alibaba is ranked seventh worldwide. Apart from Reliance, the top 100 includes Tata Consultancy Services, another company from India. TCS has a market capitalization of Rs 8.14 lakh crore.
