new Delhi. Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Thursday that the government has identified 20 such areas in which India can become a global supplier. It can also meet domestic demand. He said that industry boards FICCI and other allied organizations are working closely with the government in this matter. Addressing a webinar of industry body FICCI, Goyal said, "We have identified 12 regions first and now eight more. In this way, we now have 20 areas where India can not only meet domestic demand. Rather it can compete globally and become a global supplier.

He said that these areas are food processing, organic farming, agro-chemicals, electronics, industrial machinery, furniture, leather industry, auto parts and textiles. He said that despite being a skilled carpenter and artisan, India imports furniture. Goyal said, "Can't we make India the world's furniture factory?" Can we not produce at such competitive prices that the world looks at us from the point of view of buying. "

Similarly, talking about Yoga, the Industry Minister said that there are vast opportunities for industry and new entrepreneurs in this area. The world is thrilled for it. But does India really seize the opportunity that Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened for the country. Have we built one lakh yoga centers worldwide. An entrepreneur or startup thought of creating one lakh or five lakh yoga instructors who can do the job worldwide. Goyal said that treatment does not always mean going to a hospital and a doctor. In such a situation, yoga instructors have wide opportunities to provide defensive treatment. He said that after Kovid-19, people may not go to the doctor for common cold and cold, so why should not pay attention to defensive measures. Goyal said that he does not know that as a nation and Indian we have failed to take advantage of this opportunity but the Prime Minister opened the doors of opportunity with his vision and we could not take advantage of that opportunity.
