3 most valued companies add Rs 98623 crore in market cap


Market value of to 10 companies this week

new Delhi. The market capitalization (market cap) of three of the top 10 Sensex companies rose by Rs 98,623 crore last week. Infosys was the biggest gainer in the IT sector. Although the market capitalization of seven of the top 10 companies declined, their total loss was Rs 37,701.1 crore. This is lower than the profit made by the three companies Reliance Industries, Hindustan Unilever and Infosys. Infosys' market capitalization rose by Rs 52,046.87 crore to Rs 3,85,028 crore during the week under review. The company's first-quarter integrated net profit grew 12 percent. This led to the company gaining more than nine percent on Thursday. Similarly, the market valuation of Hindustan Unilever rose by Rs 25,751 crore to Rs 5,48,232 crore. The market position of Reliance Industries increased by Rs 20,825 crore to Rs 12,11,682 crore.

In contrast to this trend, HDFC's valuation declined by Rs 13,920 crore to Rs 3,13,270 crore and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) fell by Rs 7,617 crore to Rs 8,26,031 crore. ICICI Bank's market position declined by Rs 4,206 crore to Rs 2,29,156 crore and Kotak Mahindra Bank declined by Rs 4,175 crore to Rs 2,62,864 crore. Bharti Airtel's market capitalization declined by Rs 4,010 crore to Rs 3,09,521 crore. HDFC Bank's valuation declined by Rs 3,404 crore to Rs 6,03,464 crore. Similarly, ITC's market capitalization fell by Rs 369 crore to Rs 2,38,469 crore. Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ITC and ICICI Bank respectively. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 425 points or 1.16 percent.
