Washington The Indian government has given approval to the American airlines to resume their passenger services in the US-India market from July 23. The US Transport Department reported this on Friday. The Government of India had banned all international passenger flights to prevent the spread of corona virus infection.
In June, the US Transportation Department condemned India's Vande Bharat Mission plan as unfair and discriminatory. The Transportation Department had threatened to withdraw its order that had approved passenger airline operations to take Air India back to its citizens stranded in the US.
The Indian aviation ministry said on Twitter that we are expanding our international aviation operations. A few flights have been arranged with the US, UAE, France and Germany. Negotiations are also underway with other countries.
It states that under this arrangement airlines of the respective countries will also be able to operate their flights to and from India. At the same time, Indian Airlines will also continue to operate.
