Rupee ends 16 paise higher at 75.02 per dollar

In today's trade, the rupee started declining against the dollar. However, in a turbulent business, it bounced back quickly and ended 16 paise higher at 75.02 per dollar compared to the previous trading session. The rupee had closed at 75.18 per dollar on Thursday. The rupee today traded between the day's high of 74.98 and the low of 75.25 against the US dollar.

On today's performance of rupee, Rahul Gupta, head of research (currency) at Emkay Global Financial Services, said that traders are currently eyeing the ongoing tension between the US and China, due to which investors are cautious and these precautions fall in the rupee against the dollar.
