ATF price up 1.5 percent on global cues

new Delhi. The price of aircraft fuel (ATF) increased by 1.5 percent on Thursday. However, there has been no change in the prices of petrol and diesel. This is the fourth increase in ATF price in the last six weeks. According to the notification issued by the public sector oil companies, the price of ATF in Delhi increased by Rs 635.47 per kl or 1.5 per cent to Rs 42,628.28 per kl. Earlier, on June 1, the price of ATF had increased by 56.6 percent i.e. 12,126.75. Thereafter, on 16 June, its price increased by Rs 5,494.5 per kiloliter i.e. 16.3 percent and on July 1, it increased by Rs 2,922.94 per kiloliter i.e. 7.48 percent. The price of ATF is changed on the first and 16th of every month. To determine this, the formula of currency exchange rate and average of international prices in the last fortnight is adopted.

Prices of petrol and diesel vary on a daily basis, which remained constant on Thursday. Petrol price in Delhi remained unchanged at Rs 80.43 per liter for the 17th consecutive day. The last change in the price of petrol was on 29 June. However, since then the price of diesel has changed four times since June 29. It was priced at Rs 81.18 per liter in the capital on Thursday.
