Twitter Inida launch dedicated search for disaster relief in India

New Delhi. Social media platform Twitter India on Wednesday launched a dedicated search service that will provide people with information related to the disaster on its platform. This will provide easy access to the official information of people's relief and rescue efforts and preparedness at the time of a disaster. The company said in a statement that it has partnered with the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) for this.

The company's service will be available on Apple's iOS, Android and mobile browser in India. It can be availed in both Hindi and English languages. Twitter said that every time a person will use some special keywords related to disaster relief, then this system will search them only. This will provide that person direct access to information related to disaster relief operations. This is an extension of Twitter's 'There is Help' (help there) campaign.

Twitter has stated that the feature will be reviewed by the Twitter team at regular intervals to ensure that all related keywords are returning results immediately upon searching. Twitter has also suggested some search keywords like – #cyclone, #DisasterRelief, #earthquake, #flood, #floods, #heavyrainfall, #hurricane, #Landslides, #NDMA, #NDRF, #rain, #rainfall, #SDRF , #storm, #thunderstorm, #tsunami, #storm, #storm, #destruction, #NDRF, #cloud, #storm, #flood, # rain, #equake, #thunderstorm, #l landslide, #statescontemplative, #tunami, # #NationalReliableTraffic, #NationalRepresentationAgency etc.
