Skoda launches Rapid Rider Plus at Rs 7.99 lakh

new Delhi. Skoda Auto India on Wednesday announced the launch of new variants of its mid-size sedan Rapid. The new Rapid Rider Plus price in India is Rs. 7.99 lakhs. The new variant is equipped with a Rapid Rider Plus BS-6 compliant one-liter petrol engine, which provides power of 110 PS.

Skoda Auto India brand director Jack Hollis said in a statement that the company has recently introduced products of the new Rapid TSI range, which come with a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine. He said that there has been a huge response from Skoda fans and auto lovers across India.

Hollis said the Rapid Rider Plus is an unmatched mix of the brand's attractive design, superb interiors and strong safety features at a very affordable price. The Rapid is one of the company's best-selling models and the new variant will set new records in terms of functionality, usability and more space in its segment.

Mileage of Rapid Rider Plus is 18.97 kilometers per liter. It offers 23 percent more fuel efficiency, 14 percent more torque and 5 percent more power than earlier engines. Dual airbags, anti-lock braking system, engine immobilizer with floating code system, rough road package and rear parking sensors are given as safety features in the Rider Plus variant.

It has 16.51 cm color touchscreen central infotainment system as well as many other great features such as dust and pollen filter.
